Ear infection is the inflammation of the inner, middle, or outer ear that cause severe discomfort. Ear infections often occur in conjunction with cold, flu, or upper respiratory tract infections.

In most cases, ear infection refers to fluid accumulating in the middle ear due to cold and flu, allergies, or sinus infection. Most common in children, adults may also get ear infections.
